Right on the heels of the KYRIE 1 Cereal Sneaks, Nike unveils the KD7 PB&J, the second of a three-shoe Nike Snack Attack Pack designed exclusively for young athletes.

“I grew up on PB&Js as a kid — it fueled me. Whether it was getting some energy in for more basketball or just hanging with my friends playing around the neighborhood,” said Kevin Durant. “Actually, PB&J is still my go-to snack and it’s cool to have a KD7 that takes that part of my story to a new level for kids.”

The KD7 PB&J was inspired by Kevin Durant’s love of PB&J sandwiches as a snack when he was a kid. Whether they were eaten at the rec center where he played incessantly as a kid or at his Aunt Pearl’s house, Durant’s PB&Js were always made with love. These Nike Snack Attack Pack kicks, made exclusively for kids, deliver the same great performance features of the KD7 covered in a mouthwatering mix of peanut butter tan and grape jelly purple.

The KD7 for young athletes, like it’s grown-up version, is focused on combining superior cushioning with protective stability and lightweight quickness.

A prominent forefoot strap helps lock down the upper across the top of the foot for stability. Nike Zoom Air technology in the grade school version and EVA foam in the pre-school version provide ultra-responsive cushioning. Hyperposite construction in the heel of the shoe coupled with the outsole’s low-profile height provides lightweight stability.

The kids’ versions of the KD7 have been designed with distinct series of flex grooves across the forefoot of the pressure-mapped outsole to provide the enhanced flexibility that kids need. Nike has years of experience in natural motion design grounded in the Nike Free technology.

The KD7 PB&J  is available now at nike.com and select Nike retail partners.
